All what I know of Beowulf´s society:

Beowulf´s society was based on the family and on the warrior´s courage, loyalty of the followers to their ruler and generosity.

The Scandinavian tribes, Beowulf is from, who came especially from Denmark and Norway and were also called Danes or Norsemen were also based on extraordinary seamanship with great sailors.

In the epic poem Beowulf, the hero is a courageous "thane", a royal vassal, tied  to his king by loyalty and kinship .

Beowulf was therefore respected by all the people because he was a thane, a very impotant royal vassal.

Beowulf was helpful and kind with the people: as a result also elder people liked him and appreciaded his generosity.

Beowulf´s society was also a pagan and they gave a lot of attention of the druid´s omens.
