Reading the title "a more perfect union", in my mind I create some expectations for example the speech may deal with the problem of USA that can be surpassed.

The speech starts with a quotation from two hundred years ago, before the costitution  where people had travalled across the ocean to affirm their freedom and indipendency.

Obama wants, in this sequence, to create an union spirit  and the same in the second sequence.

Obama connects the slavery with today's racism because it  was based on the same principal but he also  underlines that if the dicriminations will continued USA will be never united.

Obama underlines the problems that USA had got even if the constituton deals with the idea of freedom,equality....... and even if also today America is a mix of religions, reces and ethnical differences, it's a better nation now than in past.

He also explain hi personal point of view, he belives in a changes because USA is a powerfoul nation.

He also convinces the listener  of the necessity of a man like him, he's intrested in common hopes and wants a unit nation, only in this way, far from racial discriminations, America might be a best nation and pawerfoul
