Why is Eveline representative of "The Dubliners"?
Eveline lives in Dublin with her father, that is always drunk, her brothers and her sisters. She has lost her mother and she has promised to her that she would look after her family.
She is never quite sure about her feelings and therefore she can not make a choice.
I think that Eveline represents adolescence's hope, the dreams of young people, , the dream of running away. But she hasn't got courage to make choose and she is always afraid of her father.
So I think that Eveline is a characters of "The Dubliners" because this character represents a aspect of Bublin life.
