LITERATURE

To me Literature  is the collection of texts written with a particular method, shown in the language used and themes dealt with. It may follown three genres: poetry, fiction and drama; and may have different forms like sonnets, ballads, novels, plays etc.

The words are very complicated and not easy to understand because authors follow a disciplined writing technique.

The author does not stop at surface meaning, but goes beyond what is written and as a result there are often hidden meanings in literature.

The reader can propose many different interpretations but they must be supported by textual references.

There are many levels of meaning, depending by the reader's knowledge and culture.
