Nice Work - secon part analysis 

The second part is conceptually most difficult.
The narrator explains what is Robyn idea's about the novel.
Right from the start he opens a parenthesis commenting the reasons why she has such ideas, that come from what she has read.
She doesn't believe in "self" concept that that is to say she doesn't believe in character. She refers to character of eighteen century literature, which has a definited identity (linked with her ideas about economy, in the eighteen there was the hope in capitalism system). During Modernism and Post Modernism the idea of character changed because there was a transformation of structural element of the novel. There was a change world's vision and a attitude of distrust in progress.
There is not only one identity but endless, we can trace a profile without define a person in all her feature. We are subject at the culture in we live.
