Textuality » 3A Interacting
Art produces positive or negative emotions. Different forms of art use different ingredients and tools.
The writer has to discipline the way he writes. Whenever poets write they must follow a disciplined technique so the language (they use) is charged with a lot of meaning and that is why poetry arouses and stirs several emotions.
A literary text sends you many messages and most of them can be correct, because every reader provides a personal interpretation of the same text, but the interpretation is not free. We must advance an interpretation which is supported by textual references.
Literally genres are: poetry, fiction and drama.
The sonnet, the ballad, the novel, the haiku are literally forms.
WHAT’S LITERATURE?
Literature is one of the numerous forms of art. It uses the words to express itself and tries to give emotions through them to the reader.
The literature doesn’t only try to delight the reader, but it also tries to teach him something. So some writers which think they have understood something important in their life want to share it with the readers. Other ones want to tell something to the reader keeping it hidden so only a little part of the readership can receive the message.
Literally texts are written in a different language from the everyday’s one. They often use rhetorical devices to create some beautiful images in the reader’s mind or to please him in the reading.
There are three literally genres: the poetry, the fiction and the drama. They are different because they have different expressions and purposes.
They include literally forms, like the sonnet, the ballad, the novel etc.
