- It covers the first decades of the Twenties.

- Modernists still believe in the possibility of finding truth

- It is based on quest and research.

- It is still looking for a centre

- It is a cosmopolitan movement

- It is a reaction to tradition

- Humans have a central position

 

 

- It developed during the Sixties

- It does no longer believe in the concept of truth and reason will never lead to it.

-It puts into discussion the concept of authority.

-It does no longer believe in the concept of a unique centre.

-meaning is  always slippery , it isn’t stable.

-It highlights the ideas of transformatin and dinamicity.

-Humans are isolated, alone, thay have a marginal position 

-An individual never can be free because his background, his situations , society affects his point of view

-It rejected the need of God’s existence

-Humans are alienated from society
