MODERNISM (à POSTMODERNISM)

•·        No God but reason is sufficient to understand nature and man à No God, we are alone.

•·        Tries  to find a truth (because they don't find it in God) à Truth doesn't exist
Search for meaning
à they don't find a meaning (it is slipping and differed)

•·    THE Human being is in front of devastation, the world has fallen into pieces à NO concept of a center, an authority, there are many centers

•·        Intention of writers to change the way readers see the world (they guide and control their own work) à Readers are in  a privilege position they have their own interpretation of matters.

•·        Writers focused on central themes in a united visionà Vision of a contradictory, fragmented, ambiguous world

•·        Every character has always the same identityà Instability of identities

•·        They considered only high art à there's no center so it couldn't exist high and low art, they are both considered
