Eveline is a story from Dubliners and it is written by James Joyce. The story deals with Eveline's emotions and thoughts. She has to decide if to leave to Buenos Aires with Frank or to stay at home and look at her family.

According to the Messaggero Veneto's article "Un mondo che abbiamo costruito noi"written by Claudia Sfilli, which deals with young girls' problems, there are few points in common.

In the article, the writer explains girls' emotions: they are insecure, complexed, desirous of love, and they try to find themselves. Adolescence is full of sensations: fear, enthusiasm and desperation, sometimes emotions are not controlled.

Likewise Eveline reflects all aspects of an ordinary young girl. She is insecure and she doesn't know if to leave or to stay, she is desirous of love and Frank is the perfect symbol of love for Eveline. Eveline tries to find herself throughout her thoughts and her past, and when she is about to embark with Frank, her emotions are not controlled, she feels an inexplicable inner pain.
Therefore Eveline of James Joyce can be connected to the article of Claudia Sfilli, in order to explain what are young people's emotion.
