POST-MODERNISM
Post-Modernism is a cultural movement which developed in the second half of the 20th century as a reaction of modernism.
The main concept of the Post- Modernism, is that it doesn’t believe on the concept of the authority centre. Moreover Post-Modernism doesn’t believe in the concept of one single truth in opposition to Modernism which tries to find the sense. There are as many truth as many readers.
As a consequence Post-Modernism accepts a fragmentation and it doesn’t try to search a sense in their life.
It follows that the key word of Post-Modernism is guest.
The only truth is transformation that every experience under goes a new form: there is no stable meaning, implies that words always have different meanings according to what, when and where the reader is.
Last but not least, in this movement high art and low art come together, because they didn’t understand the gap.
