The extract is taken from James Joyce's Dubliners. It is composed of eight paragraph.
In the first paragraph the reader is informed about the past of the avenue in which Eveline lives. In the second paragraph, the thought of her house brings Eveline to make some condiderations about what would heppen if she left. In the third paragraph she imagines the happines of her new life and she thinks about the negative aspects of her current life , but despite that she realizes she isn't totally unsatified of it.
In the fourth paragraph the ralationship with Frank is presented. In the fifh paragraph Eveline remembers her father's moments of kindness and in the sixth she remembers her mother's death. In the seventh paragraph it is explained what are Eveline's wishes. In the eighth paragrath Eveline is going to leave but she is stopped by the uncertainty.
