1) How many sequences are there in Eveline?
• In Eveline, I've located nineteen sequences.
2) What are their functions?
• Some sequences have the function to introduce a new character; other sequences have the function to go back in a past temporal dimension to report Eveline's memories, or to focus on the future in order to report Eveline's hopes, or to focus on the present dimension of time and reality, to report Eveline's thoughts and feelings.
3) What's the relation between the sequences?
• All the sequences are associations of ideas. The element that links all the sequences is the change of time dimension.
4) Narrative techniques.
• The narrative techniques James Joyce uses are the interior monologue of Eveline, the dialogue, and the stream of consciousness.
