Eveline weigh up the departure with Frank analyzing all her life. She thinks about what she is leaving back in Dublin: her father, her brother, her friends and all her life until that moment. She thinks about all her life remembering her habits as she was a child and how they changed growing up. She remembers the last moments with her mother until her death and the relationship with Dublin. But Eveline thinks also about what would be the future life with Frank like. She thinks that in Buenos Aires they could stay together forever and make a new life. But at the end she makes the decision to stay at home because as Dublin hasn't changed, she wouldn't change her routine and she remain at home.
