My favourite activity during this first term was the vision of the movie "The Hours". I like very much the movie for two main reasons: the movie has helped me to understand the difficult meanings of Michael Cunningham's novel, offering an image for each character and its cultural and social background. The second reason is that move is easier to understand than the novel, in that I have found easy to connect what I have watched to what I have red.

Overall, the movie was nice: amazing cast, historical background was very well re-built, movie reflects accurately Michael Cunningham's novel.

To add, the movie was also a chance to relax and sum up the whole Postmodernism and Modernism arguement in a unique media text. Characters' speaking was not too difficult or quick, so I enjoyed the movie without disperately trying to understand speeches (something that in some American movies is necessary).

Concluding, the vision of "The Hours" makes me reflect on the main point of Postmodernism and Modernism literature, making a comparison between both of them's themes and vision of reality. I appreciate this activity (not so usual) more than other activities and I hope there will be other interesting activities during this second term.
