POSTMODERNISM

Postmodernism is cultural movement which characterize the second part of the twenty-one century. There are diferent factors which drive the change from the modernist culture, to the postmodernist one. First of all the Second World War and the Vietnam's one, the Globalization like said the President of Cech Republic, the student's revolution of the '70 years and the late capitalism.

The postmodernism is characterized by the resignation in the search of truth

 and the mix between high and low culture.

During the Posmodern period the philosophy changes, and born a new movement called post-structuralism charachterized by the vision of the society like a structure made of scheme; two important phylosopers of the postmodernism are Jacques Derridà and Jean-Francois Lyotard. Derridà is the first who explain the theory of deconstruction based on critique of cetainty and truth, and the theory of jettè and is the first one to go against Western Culture; Lyotard is the first who criticize the subject. 

In this period born also the pop-art, even if during the modernism the art was only for some people now it's popular; artists change also subject; the aim of this new kind of art is to put into focus some aspects of posmodern society, like everiday life (Andy Warhole- Campbell's soup) or repetition (Andy Warhole- Marylin Monroe).

The most important different between modernist and postmodernism literature like it can be see comparing "Mrs. Dalloway" and "The hours" is that modernism is most focused on time and postmodernism on space

To draws up some conclusion it can be said that in this period truth can't be grasped and reality is not deterministic.
