In this ballad, is about a well-know king, who has a daughter: Lady Diamond. She is called so beacause her white skin. She is deep in love with a kitchen boy. She discovers to be pregnat also because her night-dress becomes shorter and shorter. One night the king can not sleep and goes to his daughter who confesses him her love for the kitchen boy. The father decided to murder the him and for this reason, orders to make it to his merry man. Then he takes the hear of the kitchen boy in a golden bowl to Lady Diamond. As she sees it she starts crying and with her tears she washes the blood. At the end she has no more tears and she does not breaths more because she dies.
