"Junk of the heart" is a song by the rock band "Kooks". It is a new song just , so I have been listening to it for some weeks but I was immediately struck. I usually listen to  this song when I am alone in my bedroom.

Everytime I think of all the girls hurt me in the past because the topic of this song is the "sentimental garbage": what I should forget, the people I should erase and erase from my mind and my life.

To me the song  represents the sharp division between my past and my present. Indeed, at the beginning of the song you can hear the line "junk of my mind, junk of my heart" and in the chorus "I wanna make you happy". I associated the first part with the girls who hurt me and the second part to  my present girlfriend.

I hope to have a different relationship with her and to make her happy.
I remember this song also because it talks about love and pain. The two topic should be in contrast, but often coincide for example in the story told in this song. Someone said that love is pain: I cannot blame him-her.
