We still
don't know the historical identity of king Arthur. He could be a mere legend or
a true king.

Medieval
romances deals with supernatural, love or religious themes. The setting was
vague, the hero was idealized.

The
hero-knight was brave, noble, honourable,  his identity was unknown and he fought for
other's sake.

Every super-hero
can be compared to the Medieval ballade's heroes: Captain America, Superman,
Batman...

The code of
chivalry was kind of a "guide of the knight". The ten commandments were:
believe all the Church teaches, defend the church, defend the weak, love the
country, not recoil before the enemy, war against the Infidel, perform your
feudal duty, never lie, be generous, be the champion of Justice.

Courtly
love is when a knight devote himself to a noblewoman.
