The text is a poem written by William Wordsworth in 19th  century. The reader can see this from the title "She dwelt Among the Untrodden Way" where the verb "dwelt" is an ancient form of verb "lived". From the title the reader can also deduce that the poem is about the girl and that she lived in the places that few people knew.

The poem has 12 lines so it's not a sonnet and it's divided in two parts, first of 4 and second of 8 lines. It means that the second part is more important and that it gives us more information then first.

The poet uses an enjambment In the first line in order to focus the reader on the word "Dove", the place where she lived. He also put a comma after this word so the reader has to break reading after this word and focus to it.

From the third and four line the reader gets the information that she was young and that few people loves her. At the end of the fourth line the poet put an colon. It means that the second part has explanatory function of what he said in the first part.

In the second part the poet uses again the enjambment and the metaphor of violet. It may be associated to the girl because the violet is "half hidden from the eye" as well as the girl is.

The poet gets on with the same procedure and uses a comparison. The girl is compared to the star "when only one is shining in the sky", when this one star is the source of the light and with the comparison he reinforces her values.

In the last four lines the poet reveals us some informations of her life, that she was unknown and that is the reason she was not praised, that her name was Lucy. This name means "it gives light" and in this way the reader highlight the importance of this person.

The poet highlight their importance with the use of the perception verb "ceased to be" instead of "she died".

In the last line the poet demonstrates that her death makes big difference and  a lack for him. He regrets that only few people could know her and enrich their lives with this person.

The poet want give the reader message that some things that are very important they don't appears always and that we have to find them.
