In the Victorian novels the writer uses the techniques of showing and telling that permit to screen the character. The writer presents the trends of thoughts that are Utilitarianism, Darwinism, Puritanism. There is not a shade of meaning so people think that there is only the good or there is only the evil. The family was a center father family where he takes care of his children and his wife; he is the point of reference of the family.
