•·         The children are in a room , where they are used to be fed. They are receiving their daily meal.

•·         The children are still hungry, the food was not enough, just a couple of spoons. They are discussing about that and they cast who should go for ask for some more.

•·         They decided to cast a victim. Oliver goes to Mr. Bumbe and asks for some more food.

•·         They are all surprised. The master stations himself at the copper. His assistants range themselves behind him and all the table looks at the scene.

•·         I am quite surprised after Oliver's reaction. I did not really expected anything like that. At the beginning he is described as an unhealthy boy, who can only try to survive. I could not imagine he has a so powerful determination.

•·         Mr. Bubble first is describe as a terrible man. The children have fear of him, because he is a villainous master. But after Oliver's request his figures becomes comic. He does not know what to so, he is speechless, he stations at the copper. He needs Mr. Limbkins to act, he is not able to make a decision on his own.

•·         In my opinion he sympathizes with the boys. The others are ridiculed.

•·          The narrator is a third person omniscient narrator.

•·         He narrates in third person, knows everything about characters and sometimes makes judgments, so he can be considered intrusive as well.

•·         He wants to talk about the exploitation of children, but he cannot do it directly.
