All the consequences of Industrial Revolution are  presented by the Victorian novel, that usually presents also a love story.

 

In the novel the writer presents also the trends of thought of the Victoria Age: Utilitarianism, Puritanism and Darwinism. 


Victorians think that there is only the good and the evil, the right and the wrong.


In Victorian families the father is the center and takes care about his wife and his children. Victorians want to show a reality of perfection, but it is only a mask of a reality of desperation.
