1)What is Wilde's position on such key issues as the artist, the critic,  art and morality?

Oscar Wilde considers the artist like the creator of beautiful things, and he is art's aim. The critic for Wilde is someone who can translate into another manner or a new material his impression of beautiful things. In conclusion Oscar Wilde said that :"there is no such thing as moral an immoral book. Books are well written or badly written. That is all."

2)Together with critic John Ruskin , Walter Pater had a deep and lasting influence on Wilde who based his style on their theories of art and aesthetics. What s Pater's view of art in the following statement?

Walter Pater said that art give you the highest quality to your moments, and you profess art simply for those moments' sake.

3)How does this concept of art contrast with that of the mid-Victorian years?

This concept of art contrast with that of the mid-Victorian years because during Victorian period the art is used to describes with a grotesque tone the social condition of people who lives in that period.
