We are the desperate
Who do not care.
The hungry
Who have nowhere
To eat.
No place to sleep.
The tearless
Who cannot
Weep.

The text is a short poem was written by Langston Hughes.
The poem is composed of nine lilnes and it hasn't verses, there are assonance ( to eat, to sleep) and alliteration ( nowhere, noplace).
The writer talk about the life of vagabonds who haven't a home ( nowhere to eat and noplace tosleep) who are desperate and tearless because they have already cry too much.
The reader cannot imagine the face of a vagabond because the writer talk about a group of person who have the same problems not a singol person and he wants to highlight that they haven't an identity.
