Arnold Toynbee with this text explains his idea about the Industrial Revolution, to do this he divided his text in ten paragraphs, each paragraph has different informations in order to his function, for example the first paragraph is an introduction and it doesn't has information while the others nine paragraphs have quality and quantative informations. The author used a logical and cronologic system to divide the text in paragraphs.
He wrote his tought and the end of the text and he confirmed it with differents argument. After the first paragraph he wrote some quality informations about four English economists, they wrote books about wealth and how produced it; so he based his text to the origin of the industrial revolution.
Then he analyzed the principals facts and he picked out: the far greater rapidity which marks the growth of population,he wrote only quantative informations, the destruction of common-field system, he wrote both quality and quantative informations and he expalined why there were less fields and so he wrote about the born of small farms, then he wrote about the mechanical discoveries,Spinning-jenny, water frame, compatain's mule and self acting, and about the advantages of these. Explained all the changes in the agriculture industries he passed at the new way of comunication so the rapidity and the effeciency of these , a new distribution of wealth that hit more people and so there were more important and riches person, at the end he wrote about a new distinct class. In all this paragraph he wrote both positive and negative changes but he considered more importanthuman points, so the condition of work under factory-system, in other words the misery of working people and their life condition so the price of rise and their health . Then he arrived at his thought that is wealth doesn't produce well-being.
The text is efficiency because he did'nt establish his tought up the others but with a lot of informations and a perfect construction of his text he explained how and why he arrived at that conclusion.
