FUNERAL BLUES
Funeral Blues is a poem. Your expectation is to read about someone dead, his funeral, and the sadness of that moment.
The text is a short poem organized into four short tenses, everyone made by four lines. In this poem there are lots of imperative forms. It makes you be aware of the solemnity of the situation.
In the first tense you read about the preparations of a funeral into an house. And you can understand the need of silence and quiet.
The second tense talks about the time before the funeral, but now it is placed outside. It seems that all the people have to know that person is dead.
In the third tense you know that who is talking loved the dead person and he was a point of reference. But we do not know who he is.
In the fourth tense you feel like the moon, the stars, the sun and all the other things are useless, because he is dead and that is the most important thing at the moment.
