Listening n°1

A man phoned and a little girl answered. The man asked to talk to her father and the little girl passed the phone to the older sister. She said her father could not come to the phone right then. The man asked her if she could take a message for him. Then the girl asked him his name and his telephone number. He answered he was Nick Johnson and the phone number was 589-7248. Then he said the girl to ask her father to call him that night between 7 and 8.30. After that, he asked her if she actually was his daughter and what her name was. The girl answered she wasn't supposed to tell him that and the man observed it had been very smart for her. Then he remembered the girl to inform his father of the call and he ended the call.

Listening n°2

Mr Taylor went to a job interview. The interviewer asked him what his last job was. My Taylor answered he had been working for 5 years at Hi Tech Computers. The speaker seemed to be interested and asked him what he knew about computer network and specific operating systems. He simply said he had come in touch with computers every night during his job. Then, the interviewer wanted to know what he knew about web site authoring, because they needed somebody to develop the company site. Mr Taylor answered he had never read a book entitled "web sites". The interviewer went on and asked him what he could say him about Java and Java scripts. My Taylor answered he thought he had drank one in a foreign café and added he liked playing computer games. The interviewer understood that Mr Taylor was not the right person and dismissed him saying they would be in touch.
