Considering the lay-out the poem has the shakesperean structure of three quatrains and a couplet.
The sonnet express the way in which the poetess(speaking voice) wants to be loved and the right reasons,on the lady's opinion,to love. Infact in the first quatrain she discuss with her lover and she says him to love her in a methaphisical mode,whitout any look appearence attractions.the words smile, look,to speak gently all express physical qualities that make love earthly and mortal.In the following quatrains the lover answers to her considering his first reason to love "for a trick of thought"and he repress his basic istinct for a pure love.the solution is found in the final couplet in which love in itselfes,in opposition with phisical attraction,leads the lover to eternity.
