Postmodernism is a philosophical movement developed during the sixties after modernism. The main points are:
-it does no longer believe in the concept of truth.
-it puts the question of authority into doubt.
-it does no longer believe in a concept of a centre as it generally happened previously.
Post modernism comes to the conclusion that there is no longer a single centre saying that there is no absolut truth --> that implies that there is no stable meaning.
à the position of the reader is the best one because everyone can give his personal meaning; one of the possible meanings.
The concept of abstract is very important because it underlines something that is very distant from us.
à Human being is marginal and insignificant.
