In my present speech I'm going to talk about the poem Rudyard Kipling wrote to his son.
In this poem Mr Kipling told him how to become a decent man learning the qualities and the abilities indispensable to live as a grown-up. He also taught him what are the right and wrong decisions people always make throught their lives.
The poem gives a lot of advices on how to face the life in her good and bad aspects: trust yourself , tell always the truth, be persevering, be modest, be imaginative.
He teach at all the people how to grow with good qualities and behaviour.
He tries to explain how to become a good adult.
I think this poem is helpful for all the people who don't know how to face their difficulties and their decisions or they want to learn how to become a decent human.
My favourite part of the poem are the last two verses where he tells to his son that, if he follows his advices, he will become a man.
I like them because it looks like he's giving a caress on his son's cheek.
I consider this poem as an inspiring advice on how to live my life.
It taught me that it isn't important the others' opinion or their behaviour, but it's important what I want to do, what makes me feel happy.
I learnt that I need to become more self-confident if I want to change something in my life.
I really like this poem because it was writed by a father who gives advices to his son and when you read the words it sounds like a sweet music.
I think Mr Kipling wrote a poem and not a letter because a poem will be heard also from the readers who feel directly involved in the situations he uses as an example.
