The Ancient Romans

It is clear that the Roman Empire was the greatest of all the times ,in fact in different periods many others tried to imitate its organization and its way of treating colonies.

In the following text I am going to discuss about the negative impact Romans had in general, starting from the Britain invasion.

The real conquer of Britain happened during Claudius empire, in order to expand the dominion and achieve military service.

The first things the Romans did here were useful to make order in the organization of what they called “barbarians”. Differently from the Celts, they were perfectly arranged from different points of view, therefore they brought in Britain their culture and they imposed their lifestyle no metter what the Celts agreement.

However, Romans brought good changes, like a legal system and lows, aqueducts and public baths, roads which linked the conquered territories .

Firstly it is interesting to notice the similiarity with the XX centuries dictatorships: the first thing the last ones did when gained the power was force the people to talk the dictatorship language, to observe the same religion and to have the same costumes and traditions. If it was not followed there were strict consequences.

Secondly ,like the Hadrian’s Wall was built to defend the Roman Empire from the other peoples which had different cultures and traditions, the Berlin Wall was built by the Sovietic Union for the same reasons.

Last but not leats, it is curious to notice that the descendens of the Roman Britain during the British Empire had the same attitude adopted by the Romans towords the conquered people.

All things considered the Roman Empire was the most organized and expanded of all the Ancient world, it was took as an example in all its sides, utomost not the good ones.
