Leo the character writes this letter because he is afraid to talk to Beatrice, the girl he is in love with, and also because if the talk face to face he is afraid of suffering because he knows that she is very ill.

Firstly Leo writes that he gave his blood for her, because he is sure in that way she will recover and he hopes that with his blood she can understand his dream.

Among this lines he wants to show her that he is in love with her. After that his friend Silvia shows him that there is too much blood in the letter, so he changes it.

In the second part he tells us he has a dream where the main character is Beatrice.
