Exercise 4

The expert says that most of the predictions will happen.

He thinks that high-speed trains will replace air travel, people will have holidays in space, planes won't have pilots and there will be an elevator into space.

 

 

Exercise 5

The expert thinks that cars won't fly because they will be too dangerous and the planes won't be completly transparent but they will have big windows.

Exercise 3

1. You must respect the other team.

2. You must accept the referee's decisions.

3. You mustn't argue with the referee.

Exercise 4

Gymnast: has to train seven hours a day

               mustn't eat more than 1,500 calories a day

               mustn't eat after 5 p.m.

               has to have protein for lunch

Triathlete: has to eat six times a day

                has to eat a lot of carbohydrates

 

Exercise 5

Before a race, a triathlete:

1. Should drink lots of water

2. Should eat things like rice and pasta.

3. Shouldn't eat lots of red meat.

4. Should rest and sleep at least eight hours.

5. Shouldn't drink coffee.

 

Exercise 6

Remember, you should drink three litres of water a day.

I do. That's why I have to go to the bathroom every five minutes!

 

Exercise 7

1. Sumo wrestlers don't have to be fit.

2. Women mustn't enter the dohyo.

3. Sumo wrestlers should eat around 20,000 calories a day.

4. Sumo wrestlers have to throw salt into the ring at the beginning of a match.

5. Sumo wrestlers shouldn't show their feelings.

 

Exercise 8

To swimming you have to wear a swimming cap.

You don't have to wear swimming goggles.

You shouldn't eat before swimming.
