The Celts

The Greeks called them Keltoi. In Celt centers they did sacrifices and slaughtered bodies. The bodies were buried with symbolic objects of their life and sometimes enemy’s skulls were used to drink. Horses were essential for them in war, peace and religion and weren’t only track animals. They discovered iron, that kept down force and men. New society. Slaves worked in iron mines and the salt preserved the rests that archeologists found. Slaves were buried in style. The archeologists found some bronze containers in the tombs. The bodies were sometimes buried in pairs. The spoked wheel represents the sun. Life was short for men and shorter for women. Stratified society dominated by the aristocrats. Slaves were exchanged as payement to Greek traders. Controlling the water ways meant controlling trade. No building in stone. Celts were copying Greeks. One of the first things discovered was a wine container. English belongs to the Celtic family.
