DOTTESCHINI WEEK II correction-questions 1)Why mustn't you choose the option IN in ex.3 nr.3 pag.2 (Articles, Quantifiers, Pronouns) Do you prefer sitting – the back of the cinema or the front.
"Sit in the back of the bus or At the back of the bus? I would use at the back of a bus. The reason for this as I know, if you are not sitting on a specific place, you need to use "at". You often sit on/in a chair. But sit at the table. (somewhere near the table) But, at the same time, if you are mentioning about a bike (or a car which does not have more back seats than one)sit on the back/in the back seat.
2)Is my answer wrong in ex. 6 nr.1 pag. 2? (Reported Speech) Yes, it is wrong from the point of view of word order (vedi risposta alla tua domanda nr. 4 è lo stesso errore) 1Shall I put these pictures in the bin or shall I save Alison them? Them for Alison Devi risparmiare I quadri per Alison, non devi risparmiare Alison
3) Could you also use the option "before" in the ex. 2 nr. 1 pag. 1?(Reported Speech) No non puoi usare before I had fallen asleep by the time the film finished = Mi ero addormentato al termine del film Se metti before cambia il significato: Mi ero addormentato prima che il film finisse
4)Why is my answer wrong in ex. 6 nr.4 pag. 2? (Reported Speech) Because the direct object always comes before any indirect object vedi domanda 2 |
