structural analysis

The text is taken from a blog. Its  name is Schumpeter Business and management. It follows that the reader expects the blog to deal with economic and business matters.

The title of the text provides information about its function and content: it is one of the pages of a sort of dictionary made with business quotations. In particular, it provides quotations about the word "Capitalism".

The function of the first paragraph is therefore  to introduce the topic of discussion. The writer immediately puts into focus the huge number of interpretations and definitions given by different people to the word Capitalism. He also provides a judgment to the reader, saying that Schumpeter's quotation is the best one, hence the name of the whole blog.

The aim of the text is to demonstrate that Capitalism has got a lot of shades: its double nature has overcome time and space and it can produce prosperity as well as destruction and problems.
