Chapter three:
In this chapter Changez deals with his sadisfactiond and his excitement to be a member of Underwood samson and tells his worker's lifestyle in New York. During his training he becomes friend with his non white colleague Wainwright, from Barbados.
During a party at Jim's house he tells to Changez that he has identified whith him; a week later Jim says to him that he is the best workers and he offers him a project in Philippine . At this point Changez realises that he is better than his colleagues, even if his friend Wainwright was genial and talented. He realises his american dream.
The main function of the third chapter is to underline Changez's gratification to be a member of Underwood Samson and his identification as a new yorker.
The structural element used by Changez is the reproduction of the direct dialogue between him and jim. Thanks to this structure the intelligent reader can understan that Changez enjoyes his new life in New york .
