CHAPTER 3
In this chapter Changez deals with his satisfaction and excitement to see a men of Underwood Sanson and tells his work's lifestyle in New York. He felt as a Newyorker and as a realized man. During his training he become friend with his non-white colleague Wainwright from Barbados. After a few days there was a party at Jim's house and during the route Changez noted to be observed by Jim who later told him that he had identified with him. A week later Jim offered him a project in Philippine saying that he was the best worker. At that point Changez realized that he was better than his colleague, instead he was genial and talented.
The main function of this chapter is to underline Changez's gratification to be a member of Underwood Sanson and his identification as a Newyorker.
The structure reproduces the direct dialogue between Jim and Changez. Thanks to this structural element the intelligent reader can understand that Changez enjoys his new life in New York and he becomes the best worker at Underwood Sanson.
