The Reluctant Fundamentalist is a story into the story because it is about a Pakistani who tells about his story in the USA to an American man in the Old Anarkali. It is a dramatic monologue because the first person narrator, Changez, speaks to another character, but it seems as if the narrator really communicates to the reader; he uses questions to bring the reader where he wants and so silencing his interlocutor. These narrative strategies show the change of Changez’s point of view about America along the novel.
