Analysing the clip from the movie "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" a person can understand Janissaries were Christian boys captured by the Ottomans and trained to be soldiers in a Muslim army. They were always taken in childhood and when they was eighteen they had to go back to their homeland and destroy them.
