Sintesi del significato che la lettura di Othello ha avuto per me:

Othello's reading was an intresting one because of the theme of jealousy developed in the play. Shakespeare decided to write a tragedy where the two lovers' (Desdemona and Othello) love ends in a tragic way because of Iago, Othello's Ancient. Indeed, using his eloquence, Iago menaged to convince the Moor that his wife was unfaithful.

Words centred-position kept my attention and their power and influence on others' behaviour (they can ruin a relationship that seemed to be unshakeable) fascinated me. In my opinion, Shakespeare wrote the play to focus on the importance of words and make one think about deceits that can lead someone to ruin. In particular the narrator underlined that Iago's deceit didn't damage only Othello, but even Desdemona and other characters (such as Roderigo, Cassio..) which became victims.
