Charles Dickens was born in 1820.

His childhood was very unhappy because his family always experiences financial instability( he had to work in a factory while the whole family was in prison).

At 15 he finally became an office-boy and later a reporter.

The importance of economic stability and of the family was a constant element of his works. 

He was patriotic and sentimental and wrote many novel and stories. In his works there is often a more or less attack to politics and institution.
