Charles Dickens

Charles John Huffam Dickens was born in England in 1812. He is interested to poor people, especially to poor children because he had a very childhood. In fact at the age of 12 for debts, his father was imprisoned, and Charles was obliged to go working in factory. This experience contributed to identificate himself with poors and oppresseds.

He wrote many novel and stories: A Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, etc.

In his works there is often a more or less attack to politics and institution.
