Poetry in The Elizabethan Age [4A]

The present section wants to offer students the occasion to go deeper into the study of poetry. After the study of ballads students will cope with lyrical poems with specific attention to Shakespere's sonnets.
Starting with

Sonnet XX students will move on to more particular texts to try and find out how the poet trans-formed the conventions of the Petrarchan idea of love.
Read Shakespeare's sonnets and plays and you will get a more detailed idea about poetry and the theatre of Shakespeare's times.
